Christmas traditions in Spain

Hi , everyone!!
I hope you had a great time at Christmas!! Back to work, now…But I´m sure this New Year will bring lots of good things. Have you already made your New Year Resolutions…?
I took these three pics and I would like to share them with you all because some of the most popular Christmas traditions in Spain are represented somehow…
1. San Silvestre Race. It is an annual 10 km road race held on 31st December. Not only professional athletes take part but also amateurs, who usually wear strange costumes and have a great fun!!
2.The 12 grapes. The tradition consists of eating a grape with each bell strike at midnight. If you are able to do that, you will be very lucky in 2016!!
3.El Roscón de Reyes (The three kings´ring) It is traditionally eaten on January 6, during the celebration of the Día de Reyes (literally "Kings' Day"), which commemorates the arrival of the three Wise Men. Roscones bought in pastry shops have a small figure hidden inside, either of a baby Jesus or little toys for children, as well as the more traditional dry fava bean. Whoever finds the figure is crowned "king" or "queen" of the celebration, whereas whoever finds the bean has to pay for the next year's roscón or Epiphany party.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!
